Steven Eric Fisher is an American writer, producer, director, and creator whose work combines speculative fiction, technology, and cinematic storytelling.
He is the author and creator of The Compliance Code Universe, a seven-book science-fiction techno-thriller series beginning with The Compliance Code. His creative work draws on more than three decades in technology, cybersecurity, and enterprise risk, using that experience as a foundation for stories about institutional power, artificial intelligence, human agency, risk, and the determination of truth.

Following earlier theatrical collaboration with actor and creator Jon Christie, Fisher served as a producer on the independent screen series CONfessionals.
VIEW ON IMDBFisher served as Editing Chief for Libertyville High School's public-access television operation on Jones Intercable, with responsibility focused on productions outside the television curriculum. He also worked as television director and technical director on individual productions, including live multi-camera remote broadcasts, and performed voice-over and announcing work.
As a member of IATSE Local 110, Fisher worked paid professional and touring performances using traditional high-intensity theatrical lighting systems. His work included setting up, operating, and maintaining Strong Super Trouper carbon-arc follow-spots, live cue execution, arc management, and carbon changes during performances.
Fisher continued his technical-theater work through studies encompassing lighting design and operation, sound engineering, scenic construction, and production operations.
Fisher supported sanctuary and broadcast production by configuring and operating the live audio system, including microphone and wireless selection, stage cabling and patching, console setup, gain structure, EQ, and live mixing.
The production environment used separate house and television/broadcast mixes, requiring parallel management of front-of-house reinforcement and broadcast audio.
Fisher contributed across production, technical design, and venue infrastructure at Lakeside Community Theatre. His work included sound design and operation, lighting design and operation, scenic construction, set design, and technical support for productions.
He also designed, built, and donated significant portions of the venue's theatrical sound and lighting infrastructure, creating systems that continued to support productions after installation.
In 2013, Fisher received Lakeside Community Theatre's Best Sound Design award. His sound design for Little Shop of Horrors was also recognized by theater critic Eric Bird for John Garcia's THE COLUMN, which specifically noted the production's gunshot, thunder, and dentist-drill effects for adding realism.
